This coming March sees us host the West Riding branch of The Society for The Preservation of Beers From The Wood’s monthly meeting upstairs at Købe. This is the fourth consecutive year we’ve done this, and each year we have increased the number of beers from wooden casks available.
This saw us claim their Pub of the Year Award for 2025, so we are keen to keep the standards high and up the frequency our bar sees the “woodies” on offer!
This year beers from Tigertops, North Riding, Craven and Phoenix breweries will don the wickets, all served from traditional wooden barrels.
You don’t have to be a member to come down and enjoy the beer, the bar will be open as normal. Sunday 8th March is the date for your diary. Come and enjoy a few pints and help keep this heritage style of brewing and serving beer alive in a modern setting.
